Audacious is a MV portraying an audacious young girl walking into her own shadow. Fearlessly facing herself and walking through the dark region, where she finally finds her true self back from the shadow.
I was genuinely inspired by the idea of having an audacious spirt towards creativity. The boldness and braveness also reminds me to detach from blindness towards myself.
It’s not necessarily a dreadful thing to find yourself in the middle of chaos. Once you choose to stay, the reward is brighter than a crystal star.
“ This was the last song I made for the album, so it still feels very fresh to me. The initial inspiration came from the lilting rhythms of a drummer on a Chinese New Year Lion Dance video I found on youtube. His playing is so driving yet fluid and relaxed, so I based the rhythmic backbone of this song on that. The instrumentation was also inspired by Lion Dance music, which usually consists of a percussion ensemble called 锣鼓 playing drums and gongs.”
